How To Provide a Hot Meal

The blue panel on the left has "Meal Schedules" for December through March. If you choose to provide a 7pm hot dinner in one of these months, click on that month, and the calendar page will appear on your screen.

Five groups have agreed to provide the meal as follows:
Sundays - Falling Spring: the meal to be served AT THEIR CHURCH.
Tuesdays - Mercersburg Acad. - the meal to be served at the shelter.
Wednesdays - King Street church-the meal to be served at the shelter
Thursdays: - 1st United Methodist - served AT THEIR CHURCH.
Fridays - 1st & 3rd of each month by Cent. Presbyterian at the shelter.

If there is a day in the month when no church or organization has agreed to provide the meal, the word OPEN will appear for that date.

If your group or church chooses to provide a meal for an open date, click on this address to send an e-mail to ccwdis.org@gmail.com . You will receive a return e-mail thanking you and acknowledging your offer.

When that date has been confirmed, your group or church's name will appear on the home page.

If you have any questions about procedures CONTACT THE SHELTER MANAGER AT 717 830-3487

The shelter is not allowed to have a stove, but a microwave oven is available. If the meal you bring at 6:45 pm is still warm, there will be no problem.

THE QUESTION OF HOW MUCH TO PREPARE ? ? ? ?
CALL THE SHELTER MANAGER, CRAIG NEWCOMER AT
717 830-3487 on the day BEFORE you are to bring the meal, and ask how many guests there will be for the next evening meal.

Thank you for your service to the community.
