This shelter is a Christian-based program developed to provide a warm, safe and clean environment for those who are homeless, and have no options for shelter during the cold inclement months of the year.

How To Volunteer The blue panel on the left of the screen lists the months when the shelter is open: December through March. . If you choose to volunteer in a particular month, click on that month, and that calendar page will appear on your screen. Check your personal calendar to see which date and time (in any month) you have available for volunteering, then click on this address to SEND AN E-MAIL TO CCWDIS.ORG@gmail.com You will receive a return e-mail, thanking you and acknowledging your offer to volunteer, and your name will appear on that date and time. If you have any questions about procedures, CONTACT THE SHELTER MANAGER AT 717 830-3487 The 7 to 12pm period is usually divided into 2 segments: 7 to 9 and 9 to midnight, but these are not specified on the printed page. You can tell the shelter manager what hours you can serve. Three individuals on a rotating basis handle the 12:pm to 7am shifts. You'll see each name under the church or group names. These persons are scheduled and coordinated by the shelter manager. Thank you for your service to the community.
